WHO WE ARE

TLDM PRESENTS "CEEWAY YOUTH"

Ceeway Youth is a social enterprise committed to tackling common issues we see amongst young people in our society today. We focus primarily on Knife Crime & Youth Violence and Diversity & Inclusion, offering services such as Mentoring, Workshops and Extra-Curricular Activities. Our mission is to combat youth violence and promote diversity, ensuring every young voice is heard.

KNIFE CRIME & YOUTH VIOLENCE

At Ceeway Youth, one of our main strands is knife crime and youth violence. The Founder of this movement, Mr Neil Chamroo, is born and raised in the deprived and crime-infested Borough of Croydon, South London. Witnessing first-hand the trials and tribulations a young person goes through in such an area, made him (and therefore TLDM) understand why young people engage in gang activity, knife wars and other criminal behaviour. BUT, we do NOT condone such choices and we are far from letting anyone justify the murders of young Kings and Queens within our Borough. This project is all about Personal Growth, helping young people realise they ARE destined for greatness, and not just put in this world, to be a delinquent remaining stagnant in the hood all day. Over here, we believe that the best way in tackling such an issue, is helping young people find their true PURPOSE. My question to you is, what are YOU saying?

DIVERSITY & INCLUSION

Ceeway Youth also has another main strand covering all issues we are seeing within Diversity & Inclusion today. Let's face it, society is changing so fast and our young people are changing with it. At the age of 15, our Founder, Mr Neil Chamroo, was called a monkey during a football match, because of the colour of his skin. At 21, he got called a n***** by a random lady on the streets of Colchester. During school he believed his skin colour was apparently a blockade to his successes. Now, he understands how wrong and stupid he was to think that, if anything, what makes us UNIQUE, makes us STRONGER. The outlook we have on Diversity & Inclusion is simple - "Respect Regardless". Currently based in Colchester, Essex, we are providing a D&I syllabus that compliments and fits Secondary School academia. By providing Lessons, Assemblies, Mentoring and Staff Training, we want to effectively make sure that our young people correctly understand D&I, promoting healthy judgement of what they are very exposed to on social media (if you ever wondered where they get it from). It is a big mission but we can't do without the support. You in?
